neon hong kong at night

Daytime Hong Kong greeted me with incredible fog. When my friend and I reached the top of The Peak, one of the popular hills in Hong Kong, by a crazily steep tram you could see nothing… and as a result we did more city discovering instead of hiking during my holiday.

There’s something magical about the city at night, an endless number of neon advertisements, beautifully decorated display windows all year round (not just for Christmas) create this special ambience. Walking around looking up (not the safest since I kept bumping into people) confirmed the opinion that it is a city that never sleeps. The red light district of Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Central and Lan Kwai Fong (the expat central) were full of life and dazzling lights till early morning hours.
