I normally struggle with breakfast ideas. Why is it always the same stuff: toast and jam, a bowl of cereal or granola??? There are so many yummy options and you don’t need much time at all. I decided to challenge myself (oh yeah) and try to have something different at the weekends to start with. Perhaps I will managed to incorporate those habits into my weekday routine later??? Will see how it goes…
Today, I’m having a white breakfast smoothie I found in Jamie Oliver’s new cookbook: Jamie’s 15 minutes meals.
Things you need:
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1 cup of milk – 250 ml
- 3 tablespoons of ground or chopped almonds
- 1 tablespoon of honey or less depending on how sweet you want it to be
Blend it altogether, sprinkle some cinnamon on top and voila! You will be surprised how filling it is.
PS. If you are using a hand blender, make sure you cover the jug or it will be very messy…
