long weekend escape: whitsunday coast (part 2)

Tropical Queensland is my happy place, so green and full of exotic species. My favourite place of all is the Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island. There are no hotels or places to stay as it’s a National Park but you can camp if you feel like it. You need to pay a speedboat transfer fee and $5.50 for entering the National Park. I went there during the rainy season so decided to go on a couple of day trips with Ocean Rafting instead of camping. The view from Hill Inlet was unbeatable; vast beach with bright white silica sand and ultra clear water. I truly felt as if I was in heaven or paradise. I walked through the shallow waters with sting rays escaping from under my feet. I was accompanied by a number of hungry seagulls when lunching on white sand banks. It was great to swim  in the water to cool down. I honestly think this is the most stunning beach I’ve seen in my entire life. It might stay that way forever.
